Rupee Opens Lower on Trump's War Compensation Demand, Oil Surge
The Indian rupee fell against the dollar on Tuesday as US President Trump demanded war compensation and a surge in oil prices heightened supply disruption fears.

The Indian rupee started the session on a cautious note, with the USD/INR pair advancing to near 95.40.
The decline came after President Donald Trump called for war compensation, adding geopolitical uncertainty. At the same time, oil prices climbed sharply on escalating concerns over prolonged global supply disruptions, further weighing on the import-dependent currency.
The combination of political demands and costlier crude left the rupee on the defensive early in the trading day.
