Robinhood Wallet integrates Arcus RFQ system for stock token swaps

Robinhood Wallet will use Arcus as a routing provider for stock token spot swaps, giving eligible users access to the dYdX-backed platform's RFQ liquidity and limit orders.

Robinhood Wallet has added Arcus as a routing provider for stock token spot swaps, widening the execution options available inside the self-custody wallet. Arcus said in a statement shared with The Block on Thursday that the integration lets eligible users in supported jurisdictions tap its liquidity and execution infrastructure directly through the wallet.

Arcus was built by the team behind decentralized exchange dYdX and went live on Robinhood Chain in July with just over 90 stock tokens. That list has since expanded past 190 tokens, alongside perpetual markets that remain in beta, according to the statement. The integration positions Arcus as one of several routing venues Robinhood Wallet can draw on when users swap tokenized equities.

An RFQ model instead of a single pool

The platform's execution model differs from the single-liquidity-pool design common on many decentralized exchanges. Arcus uses a request-for-quote system in which professional market makers compete to price each individual swap, rather than all orders being filled against one pool. Arcus said Robinhood Wallet users whose swaps route through its system may be eligible to receive Arcus Points, and that it will also make limit orders available to wallet users via the wallet's dapp browser.

Arcus reported more than $5 billion in cumulative trading volume since launch, with over 15,000 unique traders and total value locked above $28 million. Chief executive Eddie Zhang said the early numbers validate the team's original thesis about demand for around-the-clock, globally accessible markets. "The early traction reinforces what we believed from the beginning: traders want markets that are global, accessible, and always on," Zhang said in the statement.

The addition reflects continued competition among routing and liquidity providers for order flow in tokenized equity trading, a segment where Robinhood has been building out infrastructure through its dedicated chain and wallet product.
