Robinhood Accelerates Global Expansion with Robinhood Chain Mainnet, Stock Tokens, Agentic Trading and New DeFi Products

Robinhood Markets announces the launch of its Robinhood Chain mainnet, stock tokens, a DeFi lending product, and expanded perpetual futures as part of a sweeping global expansion across Europe, Canada, Singapore, and the UK.

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ: HOOD) unveiled a broad slate of new products and geographic expansions at a London event on July 1, 2026, including the public mainnet of Robinhood Chain, tokenized stock tokens, a decentralized lending product called Robinhood Earn, and the addition of perpetual futures on commodities, ETFs, and FX in Europe.

The Robinhood Chain, built on the Arbitrum platform, is a permissionless Layer 2 blockchain designed for tokenized real-world assets and DeFi applications. It features fast block times and native lending/borrowing, with day-one partners including Uniswap, which will deploy a dedicated automated market maker (AMM), and Pleiades with a proprietary AMM for prop trading. Additional infrastructure partners include Alchemy, BitGo, and Chainlink.

Stock Tokens, available today on the Robinhood Wallet in over 120 countries, allow eligible users to trade tokenized debt securities providing economic exposure to underlying stocks. The tokens can be traded 24/7 on the Robinhood Chain via decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap, Rialto, Lighter, Arcus, and 1Inch. The existing Classic Stock Tokens remain available on the Robinhood Europe app.

Robinhood Earn, a decentralized lending product, is rolling out to eligible U.S. users. It allows customers to lend dollar-backed USDG through a self-custody wallet at an estimated 7% APY. The lending infrastructure is powered by the Morpho protocol, with insurance for cyber and smart contract exploits procured through Lloyd's of London and RELM.

The company also expanded its perpetual futures offerings for eligible European investors beyond crypto to include commodities, ETFs, and FX. New tradable instruments include Gold, Silver, QQQ, EUR/USD, WTI crude, Brent crude, and EWY, with up to 10x leverage available 24/7. In the U.S., Robinhood introduced maker order types for crypto traders, with fees as low as 0% based on volume.

Robinhood announced several geographic expansion milestones: crypto trading is planned to launch soon in the UK; Canada is now officially open for business following the acquisition of WonderFi, with zero trading fees until September 30; and Robinhood Singapore has received a capital markets services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

On the AI front, Robinhood is preparing to launch Agentic Accounts for crypto trading in the U.S., allowing eligible traders to connect AI models to Robinhood data and trading tools. The feature will roll out at no additional cost. During the event, Robinhood also set a Guinness World Records title for the most items purchased by an AI agent in three minutes using a single credit card.

Johann Kerbrat, SVP and General Manager of Crypto and International, said the company is combining the best of traditional finance and DeFi to expand financial ownership globally. Robinhood now serves nearly 28 million customers across 38 countries and three continents.
