Rain Partners with Kraken to Launch Tokenized Equities

Rain has introduced tokenized equities for GCC customers in partnership with Kraken, offering 24/7 trading and fractional ownership in global stocks under Bahrain’s CBB regulatory framework.
Rain, a licensed crypto platform in the GCC, has launched tokenized equities in partnership with Kraken. The rollout is available to customers of Rain Management W.L.L., Rain’s Bahrain-based entity, and operates under the regulatory framework of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). Rain says it is among the first platforms in Bahrain and the wider GCC to offer the new asset class.
Tokenized equities are blockchain-based digital representations of publicly listed company shares. Instead of holding shares through a traditional brokerage, customers hold blockchain tokens that track the value of the underlying stock in real time. Rain highlights that the format enables trading outside standard exchange hours, fractional ownership, near-instant settlements, and greater transparency through blockchain infrastructure.
The initial lineup includes tokenized versions of SpaceX xStock (SPCXx), Tesla xStock (TSLAx), Apple xStock (AAPLx), NVIDIA xStock (NVDAx), Alphabet xStock (GOOGLx), Coinbase xStock (COINx), Circle xStock (CIRCLEx), MicroStrategy xStock (MSTRx), S&P 500 xStock (SPYx), and Nasdaq xStock (QQQx).
Rain notes that these tokenized equities are trade-only on its platform. Customers own the tokenized share rather than the underlying equity, meaning the products do not carry voting rights, dividends, or statutory disclosure claims.
The company describes the launch as a milestone in its mission to build accessible financial infrastructure for GCC traders and to bridge traditional finance with the digital asset ecosystem. The Kraken partnership is aimed at providing regional customers with secure and sophisticated trading tools.
