Raiffeisen & Bitpanda: Crypto Banking Expands to Tyrol

Bitpanda's partnership with Raiffeisen Banking Group expands to Tyrol, enabling customers to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum through their bank from May 2026.

Bitpanda Enterprise, the institutional arm of the Austrian crypto platform, is extending its partnership with the Raiffeisen Banking Group to the federal state of Tyrol. Starting in May 2026, customers of Raiffeisen banks in Tyrol will be able to access digital asset investment solutions powered by Bitpanda’s infrastructure.

The expansion follows previous rollouts in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland. The Raiffeisen Banking Group was among the first traditional banking groups in the European Union to offer a crypto service through a white-label partnership with Bitpanda.

Initially, the service will support investments in major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Later phases will add more digital assets, and the rollout includes plans for savings plans to facilitate long-term investing.

Lukas Enzersdorfer-Konrad, CEO of Bitpanda, said the partnership serves as a real-world model for integrating digital assets into traditional banking. “We see this as a model that is proving its worth in practice, step by step,” he noted.

The move underscores a broader trend among European banks turning to third-party infrastructure rather than building in-house crypto offerings. Bitpanda Enterprise provides a regulated, secure solution that allows banks to offer crypto directly within existing platforms.

Why this matters

The expansion into Tyrol reflects growing demand for simple, secure access to digital assets through trusted banking relationships. For Bitpanda, it deepens its footprint in the DACH region and validates its enterprise model for banks looking to enter the crypto space without building their own infrastructure.
