Pump.fun Lays Off Staff Ahead of PUMP Token Unlock, Costing One Seven Figures
Pump.fun terminated employee agreements in early April, just two months before a quarter of allocated PUMP tokens were set to unlock in mid-June. At least one laid-off worker missed out on a seven-figure sum.

Solana-based platform Pump.fun has parted ways with several employees, terminating their agreements in early April. The move comes approximately two months before a scheduled token unlock for staff.
According to the agreements, a quarter of the PUMP tokens allocated to these workers was set to become accessible in mid-June. The layoffs have reportedly prevented at least one individual from claiming assets worth a seven-figure sum.
The team behind the platform has not yet issued a public comment on the matter.
