Pound Holds Near 1.3500 as Weak UK Industrial Production Offsets GDP

The British pound traded practically flat against the US dollar in early London trading, holding just below the 1.3500 level as weak UK industrial production offset brighter GDP data.

The British pound was little changed against the US dollar on Thursday, trading a few pips below the 1.3500 level in early London trading.

Weak UK industrial production offset what was described as bright GDP data, leaving the pair near the flatline rather than extending a move in either direction.
