Poloniex to Support the SC, ATOM and FLR Network Upgrades

Poloniex will pause FIL deposits and withdrawals on May 27, 2026, ahead of the Filecoin network upgrade at block height 6052800. Trading remains live during the upgrade.

Poloniex has announced support for the upcoming Filecoin network upgrade, with temporary suspension of FIL deposits and withdrawals. The exchange said in a notice dated May 18, 2026 that it will halt these functions at 12:00:00 UTC on May 27, 2026, before the protocol upgrade takes effect.

The Filecoin network upgrade is scheduled to occur at block height 6052800, around 14:00:00 UTC on the same day. Poloniex said users may deposit FIL tokens in advance, and that it will handle all technical requirements involved for users during the transition.

Key Details

Trading of FIL chain tokens will not be affected while the upgrade is being carried out, and the network upgrade will not create new tokens, according to the exchange. Poloniex will resume deposits and withdrawals once it deems the upgraded network stable, and said no further announcement will be made on the reopening.

The company did not provide additional details on the nature or scope of the protocol upgrade. Exchanges typically pause token flows around network upgrades to avoid processing transactions on a non-upgraded or transitioning chain.

FIL holders who plan to trade around the upgrade may want to review the exchange's schedule. The move is designed to ensure that all technical requirements are handled for users, Poloniex said.
