Poland’s July CPI increase was driven chiefly by fuel prices, according to ING economist Adam Antoniak.
The fuel-price pressure followed VAT normalization, the removal of the fuel price cap, and higher oil costs after the US–Iran memorandum of understanding.
The inflation uptick is described as contained, with fuel-related factors the main contributor rather than broad-based price pressure.
