Plus500 to power US futures trading for Canada's Wealthsimple

Plus500 will supply institutional-grade clearing, order routing and risk management to Wealthsimple, enabling Canadian retail investors to trade US futures for the first time.

On July 29, 2026, Israel-based online brokerage group Plus500 (LON:PLUS) announced a strategic partnership with Wealthsimple, Canada's financial technology firm. Wealthsimple says it serves more than four million Canadians and holds about C$150bn in assets under administration.

Under the arrangement, Plus500 will provide Wealthsimple with its institutional-grade clearing, order routing and risk management infrastructure — the same technology stack behind its regulated US futures business. The offering will give Wealthsimple's Canadian retail clients their first direct access to US futures contracts, executed through Plus500's proprietary futures trading platform.

The deal serves two purposes for Plus500. It broadens the reach of its futures technology into the Canadian retail market, and it continues the buildout of the group's B2B partner ecosystem, which the company says has a strong pipeline of additional opportunities in progress.

Wealthsimple's decision to select Plus500 as its infrastructure partner underscores the company's ability to bundle proprietary technology, CFTC-regulated clearing capabilities and operational infrastructure as a single integrated solution. The collaboration follows Plus500's earlier appointment as clearing partner for the CME Group and FanDuel event-based contracts platform, as well as its partnership with Topstep. Plus500 said further B2B announcements are expected as the ecosystem continues to scale.

Plus500 is a multi-asset fintech group offering OTC products such as CFDs, share dealing, and futures and options on futures. It holds licenses across a broad range of jurisdictions and offers more than 2,500 underlying instruments to customers in over 60 countries and 30 languages.
