Pepperstone hires Block/Square alum Caitlin Walsh as Head of Corporate Affairs

Pepperstone has appointed Caitlin Walsh as Head of Corporate Affairs, adding a communications executive with nearly a decade of experience at payments and fintech firm Block and its predecessor Square.

Walsh spent the past nine years at Block (NYSE:XYZ) and Square, most recently serving as Head of Corporate & Policy Communications APAC for Block, a position she had held since 2021.

In a LinkedIn post announcing the move, Walsh said Pepperstone is one of the most successful Australian fintech stories, having scaled over 15 years into one of the world’s leading online trading providers, with clients in more than 160 countries and its headquarters still anchored in Melbourne. She said the company’s mission is about democratising access for everyday and professional traders to tools and opportunities once locked away by institutions.

Walsh thanked Pepperstone’s Tamas Szabo, Andrew Housden and Clara Crombie for the opportunity. She also noted that she is only in her second week and that Pepperstone Crypto is partnering on the upcoming FourNTwenty Legends Game, where AFL greats will return to support prostate cancer research.
