Pavel Durov Added to International Wanted List Over Terror Facilitation Claims
Russia’s FSB placed Telegram founder Pavel Durov on an international wanted list, alleging the platform failed to remove channels used by Ukrainian special services for attacks and recruitment.
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on July 29 that Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, has been put on an international wanted list as part of a terrorism facilitation case.
The investigation asserts that Telegram’s administration did not delete channels, chat groups, and bots allegedly operated by Ukrainian special services. These tools were used, according to the FSB, to coordinate attacks and recruit operatives.
