North Korea Accuses US of Weaponizing Cyberspace, Calls Threat Warning Politically Motivated
Pyongyang denies US cyber threat allegations, accusing Washington of turning cyberspace into a conflict zone and using warnings to tarnish its reputation.
North Korea has sharply rejected U.S. cyber activity warnings, asserting that Washington is responsible for militarizing the digital domain. In a statement carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang said the U.S. holds responsibility for “turning cyberspace into an arena of conflict.”
The regime further described the latest U.S. cyber threat advisory as a politically charged move aimed at damaging North Korea’s reputation, rather than a legitimate security concern. The comments come amid heightened tensions and frequent exchanges over cyber capabilities between the two countries.
