New USD pairs available for spot margin trading: PEPE, WLD, RENDER, PENGU!

Kraken has enabled spot margin trading for four new US dollar pairs on Kraken Pro: PEPE/USD, WLD/USD, RENDER/USD, and PENGU/USD, bringing the total available margin markets to 28.

Kraken has expanded its spot margin trading offering on Kraken Pro for US clients, adding four new USD-denominated trading pairs. The exchange now supports a total of 28 margin-enabled markets.

The newly available pairs are PEPE/USD, WLD/USD, RENDER/USD, and PENGU/USD. Each pair comes with specific leverage limits and position caps. For example, PEPE/USD offers up to 15x leverage with a long limit of 15,000,000,000 tokens, while WLD/USD, RENDER/USD, and PENGU/USD each offer 3x leverage with lower position limits.

Tokens Behind the New Pairs

Pepe (PEPE) is an Ethereum-based memecoin inspired by the Pepe the Frog internet meme.

Worldcoin (WLD) is a decentralized identity and financial network that aims to provide global economic access through secure identity verification, decentralized finance, and potential AI-driven universal basic income.

Render (RENDER) operates a decentralized GPU computing platform on Solana, enabling artists and creators to access a global network of rendering nodes. The token is used for payments and governance.

Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) is an Ethereum NFT project that has expanded into a community-driven brand with merchandise and media. The PENGU token allows holders to participate in governance.

Conditions and Risks

To trade with margin, users must hold at least one collateral currency. Kraken notes that margin trading is subject to eligibility criteria and involves additional fees for opening, closing, and holding positions.

The exchange stated that it will continue to evaluate new margin pairs but does not disclose future listings in advance. Kraken warned that margin trading carries substantial risk, including the potential to lose more than the initial investment. Leverage varies by asset, and liquidity may affect order execution.
