Netanyahu: Israel Did Not Agree to Trump Team’s Draft on Hamas Disarmament in Gaza

Israeli PM Netanyahu stated that Israel rejected a US draft proposal aimed at disarming and demilitarizing Hamas in Gaza, saying it was not Israel’s own plan.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that former President Donald Trump and his team believe they can compel Hamas to disarm and demilitarize the Gaza Strip. According to Netanyahu, the Trump team sent a draft proposal to Israel, which the Israeli government did not accept.

Netanyahu clarified that the document was not an Israeli draft and that Israel had submitted its own comments before any media coverage of the matter began. The remarks underscore ongoing differences between Israeli and American approaches to ending the conflict with Hamas.
