Mudrex Moves Spot Trading to an INR-Native Experience

Mudrex has launched an INR-native spot trading experience, allowing users to buy, sell, and view crypto prices directly in Indian Rupees without stablecoin conversions.
Indian crypto platform Mudrex has rolled out a fully INR-native spot trading experience, enabling users to trade, view prices, and manage portfolios directly in Indian Rupees (INR) rather than stablecoins.
The change addresses user behavior observed over several years — most Indian investors naturally think in rupees, not USDT. By removing the need to mentally convert between USDT and INR, Mudrex aims to make crypto investing simpler and more accessible.
Key Features of the Update
Spot trading now operates in INR by default. Coin prices, order values, charts, and portfolio totals are displayed in rupees. Users can deposit, hold, and withdraw INR directly from their Spot wallet. Existing USDT balances remain untouched and can still be used for Futures, Coin Sets, and Earn products.
Existing Stop Loss and Take Profit orders continue to work, but cannot be edited. Users may cancel them and place new orders using INR trigger values. Active Buy The Dip orders placed in USDT will be cancelled during the migration; new ones can be created in INR afterward.
Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) created in USDT will be automatically converted to INR at the prevailing USDT onramp rate. SIPs already in INR continue as-is.
Tax and Fee Visibility
Taxes and fees — including GST and TDS — are now displayed more clearly during order placement. Historical USDT trades remain recorded in USDT; all spot transactions after 1 April 2026 will appear in INR.
Referral Rewards Paused Temporarily
Referral rewards and commissions will be paused from 25 March to 31 March 2026 to ensure a smooth transition. Pending rewards will be processed in XAUT, and commissions in INR, before 8 April.
Mudrex Alpha Updated
The Mudrex Alpha program — which rewards active traders with reduced fees — now evaluates spot trading volume in INR instead of USDT. Futures trading volume continues to be tracked in USDT. Existing tiers will continue to function, with thresholds interpreted in INR terms.
The INR Spot experience is now live on the Mudrex app.
