French AI firm Mistral has introduced Mistral Large 4, a multimodal model with 1.05 trillion total parameters and a 1 million token context window.
French AI company Mistral has released a preview of Mistral Large 4, a multimodal model with 1.05 trillion parameters, of which 49 billion are active per request. The context window reaches 1 million tokens.
The model is aimed at programming, cybersecurity, finance, manufacturing and image-related work. Mistral says the system is competitive with leading Chinese open-weight models.
A preview is currently available, and the company plans to release open weights on October 27.
