Metaplanet Says 5,014 BTC Transfer Was Routine, No Sale

Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich said the company moved 5,014 BTC between custodial addresses in a routine operation, with no bitcoin sold and total holdings still at 43,000 BTC.

Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich said the company moved 5,014 BTC between custodial addresses as part of what he called a routine operation. He stated that no bitcoin was sold and that the transfer was internal.

According to Gerovich, Metaplanet's total bitcoin holdings remain unchanged at 43,000 BTC. The disclosure follows on-chain movement of a large amount of bitcoin by the company, which can draw attention from market participants tracking large wallets.

The company did not provide additional details about the reason for the address rotation, the custodians involved, or whether further internal transfers are planned. The update did not signal any change in Metaplanet's overall bitcoin position.
