Marex Expands Corporate FX Business into France

Marex has taken its Corporate FX unit into France, offering French companies institutional-grade currency hedging from spot and forwards to bespoke exotic derivatives.

Marex said on Tuesday that it has expanded its Corporate FX business into France, extending institutional-grade foreign exchange risk management to French companies exposed to international markets.

The launch builds on the Corporate FX capabilities Marex strengthened through its acquisition of Hamilton Court Group, and reflects what the firm describes as continued investment in serving businesses across Europe. Marex also flagged plans to broaden the offering into payments at a later stage.

From spot to bespoke hedges

The Corporate FX service spans cash products and bespoke exotic derivatives, including spot FX, forwards, swaps, market orders and structured hedging strategies. Clients are offered access to liquidity, market insight, risk management expertise and dedicated relationship coverage, alongside FX cash execution in spot, forwards and swaps and FX volatility capabilities for pricing, executing and managing options strategies inside a single digital platform.

The broker pointed to the growing international footprint of French corporates, noting that managing currency risk has become an increasingly important factor in protecting profitability, improving forecasting certainty and supporting long-term growth.

Chirag Sachdev, Managing Director at Marex FX, described France as a strategically important market, citing a sophisticated treasury community and a large population of internationally active companies. He said the firm sees a significant opportunity to bring its expanded FX capabilities to French corporates.

David Cohen, Head of Marex Hedging Solutions, said companies are navigating a complex risk landscape that spans currency, commodity and energy markets. Marex's approach, he said, is to help clients build strategies that are aligned with their wider commercial objectives.

The move places Marex's FX franchise in competition with banks and other non-bank liquidity providers that serve European corporate treasuries. No financial terms or client names were disclosed in the announcement.
