LMAX’s Omnia Partners With Monavate to Power Global Payments

LMAX Group's Omnia Exchange has partnered with payments platform Monavate to improve digital asset settlement and execution for global businesses via a single API.

LMAX Group's institutional infrastructure arm, Omnia Exchange, has announced a partnership with regulated payments provider Monavate to support digital asset payment and settlement services for businesses operating internationally. The agreement, disclosed Wednesday, is aimed at reducing operational complexity for payment firms looking to scale across borders.

Under the arrangement, Monavate will gain access to LMAX Group's institutional liquidity and execution infrastructure through Omnia's single API connectivity layer. The integration is designed to streamline backend payment operations and settlement processes, combining Monavate's payments capabilities with Omnia's liquidity network across digital assets, stablecoins and fiat currencies.

The collaboration reflects a growing push among payments providers to adopt integrated infrastructure rather than managing execution and settlement in-house. By using Omnia, Monavate and its clients can tap into institutional-grade market access without building the underlying connectivity themselves.

Oscar Vickerman, head of strategic distribution at LMAX Group, said payments are becoming one of the most compelling uses of institutional digital asset infrastructure. As more businesses integrate digital assets into payment and settlement workflows, access to deep liquidity, reliable execution and scalable technology becomes increasingly important, he added.

Monavate CEO Michael Rolph said payments are moving onchain and that businesses able to issue, move and settle money anywhere without depending on legacy systems will benefit most. Working with LMAX Group gives Monavate institutional-grade execution and settlement underneath its platform, allowing it to scale globally without customers needing to know the underlying mechanics, he said.

The partnership comes shortly after Monavate, a regulated payments platform, was acquired by Exodus Movement. The deal positions the combined entity to leverage LMAX's execution layer as demand for digital asset-based payment solutions continues to build.
