Lapid Says Israel Government Made Endless War Its Official Plan

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid sharply criticized the government, saying Hamas, Qatar and Iran wanted endless war and that the government has turned living by the sword forever into an official work plan.

Lapid argued that instead of prosperity and Israel's image as a startup nation, the prime minister is announcing that the country is a 'Super Sparta.'

The remarks add to ongoing political friction over the direction of Israel's war policy.
