Kazakhstan’s Astana Motors and China’s BYD Partner on Ultra-Fast EV Charging Network
Astana Motors and BYD signed an MoU during President Tokayev's visit to China to roll out BYD Flash Charge ultra-fast stations across Kazakhstan, starting in Almaty.
The agreement was signed on July 16 as part of President Tokayev’s official visit to China. The two companies will develop a nationwide network of BYD Flash Charge ultra-fast charging stations.
The rollout is set to begin in Almaty and subsequently extend to other major cities and key transport corridors across Kazakhstan. The memorandum of understanding outlines cooperation to expand the country’s EV infrastructure.
