Japan July core machine orders drop 3.7% m/m, steeper than forecast
Japan's core machine orders fell 3.7% month-on-month in July, a sharper decline than the 1.2% expected, while rising 11.2% year-on-year.
Japan's July core machine orders fell 3.7% from the previous month, compared with expectations for a 1.2% decline and following a 9.7% monthly increase.
On a year-on-year basis, core orders rose 11.2%, above the 9.6% forecast.
The mixed report shows a sharp monthly pullback but still-strong annual growth.
