Iran Reported Open to European Demining of Strait of Hormuz

Tehran has privately signaled a softer stance on allowing European nations to clear mines from the key oil shipping lane as part of a normalization deal.

Iran is considering granting permission for European countries to conduct mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report. The move would be part of a wider agreement to restore normal shipping through the critical passageway.

In private meetings, Iranian officials have indicated a more flexible position on foreign involvement in demining efforts, marking a shift from previous hardline resistance.
