Iranian state media has rejected claims that a deal with Washington will restore shipping through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The denial, carried by Fars News, insisted the waterway remains closed to any vessel that does not coordinate with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The rebuttal directly contradicts an earlier assertion by President Trump, who said “the perimeters of a deal” were agreed overnight. No further details from either side have been provided.
