HTX Releases May Performance Report: TradFi Monthly Trading Volume Surpasses $1 Billion

HTX released its May 2026 performance report, showing $1B+ in TradFi futures volume, $27.5M net inflows, and 3.11% MoM total volume growth. The exchange also expanded its TradFi asset matrix to 75 and launched a $10M user appreciation program.

Cryptocurrency exchange HTX published its May 2026 performance report on Wednesday, highlighting a series of operational milestones including monthly TradFi futures trading volume exceeding $1 billion and net capital inflows of $27.5 million over a seven-day period, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Total platform trading volume rose 3.11% month-over-month, with a steady recovery in futures market share. The exchange expanded its TradFi futures matrix to 75 specialized assets by adding 51 new trading pairs — 42 stock assets and 9 cryptocurrency contracts. The lineup covers AI semiconductors (AMD, AVGO, QCOM, ARM), consumer finance (JPM, NFLX), and pre-IPO assets such as SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic. Monthly TradFi trading volume surpassed the $1 billion mark, boosting overall futures volume by 5% month-over-month.

User Engagement and Asset Protection

HTX reported that its Merkle Tree Proof of Reserves as of June 1 showed reserve ratios exceeding 100% across all major digital assets, marking the 44th consecutive monthly disclosure. The exchange also rolled out a User Appreciation Program from June 1 to June 15, distributing over $10 million in airdrops and benefits. The Bitcoin Pizza Day campaign attracted 130,000 participants and distributed over 130,000 USDT in rewards.

Spot trading initiatives covered BTC, ETH, SOL, SUI, TON, ZEC, HYPE, and WLD, driving cumulative spot volume past 500 million USDT. BTC alone accounted for more than 70% of participants in one event. HTX listed six new tokens in May, including BILL and ZEST, which posted post-listing gains of 300% and 124% respectively.

Yield Products and System Upgrades

HTX Earn's flexible products for USDT, USDD, and USDC offered up to 10% APY. The SmartEarn product delivered an average daily APY of 2.33%, up 0.61 percentage points from April. In June, HTX plans to offer a dedicated 4% APY for USDD within SmartEarn, allowing users to use USDD as futures margin.

On the technology side, HTX introduced order-chasing for limit orders, real-time estimated liquidation prices, one-click leverage synchronization, and a PnL-sharing feature on the web interface. Copy trading volume rose 55% month-over-month, while lead traders' monthly volume hit $150 million (up 66%). Grid trading generated $260 million in volume, up 29%.

Compliance and Outlook

HTX's virtual asset exchange license initiative in Kyrgyzstan has formalized its application pathway and moved into local infrastructure deployment, including KYC/AML frameworks. Looking ahead to June, the exchange will begin public beta testing of Ceffu third-party custody solutions and roll out additional platform features to further enhance its trading ecosystem.
