Hardware wallet sales surge at Russian retailers M.Video and Wildberries
Sales of cold crypto wallets at M.Video rose 107% in Q2 quarter-on-quarter, while Wildberries saw an 84% year-on-year increase in units for the first half.
Russian electronics chain M.Video reported a sharp increase in sales of hardware cryptocurrency wallets during the second quarter. Unit sales jumped 107% compared to Q1, while the monetary value of sales rose 92% over the same period.
Online marketplace Wildberries also posted strong growth in the first half of the year. The number of cold wallets sold rose 84% year-on-year, with revenue increasing by 60%.
The trends indicate growing demand for self-custody solutions among Russian consumers, possibly reflecting broader crypto adoption or concerns over exchange security.
