Grab Completes the Acquisition of Stash

Grab Holdings has finalized its purchase of Stash Financial, a US digital financial services company, paying for a 50.1% stake at closing on July 1, 2026 with the balance due over three years.

Grab Holdings Limited announced on July 1, 2026 that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of the equity interest in Stash Financial, Inc., a US-based digital financial services company. The deal was structured with an initial payment for a 50.1% equity interest at closing, while the remaining payments will be made at fair market value over the three years following the closing date.

Stash Financial is a digital financial services platform targeting US consumers, offering tools for investing, saving, and financial education. The acquisition marks a significant expansion of Grab’s footprint beyond its core Southeast Asian ride-hailing and delivery operations into the American fintech market.

The company closed the transaction on July 1, 2026, with the first tranche of consideration paid immediately. The deferred consideration for the remaining 49.9% equity interest will be adjusted to fair market value at each future payment date, providing flexibility for both parties.

Grab, which is listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker GRAB, has been diversifying its services in recent years, including its own digital financial services arm, GrabFin. The addition of Stash is expected to bolster Grab’s capabilities in the US digital finance space, though the company did not provide specific financial terms of the deal in the filing.

The transaction was disclosed via a Form 6-K filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, as Grab Holdings is a foreign private issuer registered under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
