Global Household Net Worth Hits Record $570 Trillion in 2025
Global household wealth surged to an all-time high of $570 trillion in 2025, driven largely by equities, data shows.
Global household net worth climbed 7.3% year-on-year to a record $570 trillion in 2025, according to data highlighted by The Kobeissi Letter.
Equities accounted for 57% of the increase, while real estate contributed just 15%. Since 2000, the total has jumped 338%, averaging 5.9% annual growth and now equivalent to roughly 380% of world GDP.
Real estate makes up about half of the aggregate, with equities and investment funds at 25%, bonds and pensions at 20%, and cash deposits at another 20%. Household loans offset roughly 15% of the gross figure.
US household net worth led at $175 trillion last year, up 133% from China’s $75 trillion and 661% higher than Germany’s $23 trillion.
