Galaxy Research: Coldcard users lost at least 1,778.84 BTC

Galaxy Research has assessed confirmed user losses from the Coldcard hardware wallet vulnerability at a minimum of 1,778.84 BTC, worth about $112.7 million. More than 8,600 addresses were affected.

The estimate does not include several episodes with medium confidence or an unconfirmed “fourth wave” of attacks. Including those cases, total damage could reach 2,417.35 BTC, or roughly $153 million.

Researchers noted that the attacks began on July 30, but no new thefts have been recorded since August 6.
