FP Markets Adds SpaceX (SPCX) Share CFDs

FP Markets has expanded its equity CFD offering to include SpaceX (SPCX), giving clients access to trade the stock on MT5 and cTrader platforms.

FP Markets, a global Forex and CFD broker, has broadened its equity CFD portfolio by adding Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SPCX) — the first time the company has been available as a share CFD on the broker’s platforms.

The listing is immediately tradable on MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and cTrader. Through CFDs, clients can gain exposure to SpaceX’s post-IPO volatility, take both long and short positions, use flexible leverage, and access institutional-grade trading tools.

SpaceX made its stock market debut on June 12 with an initial raise of US$75 billion, a record at the time. After underwriters exercised the overallotment greenshoe option, the final total rose to roughly US$86 billion — making it the largest IPO in history. The stock was initially priced at US$135 per share, opened at US$150, and briefly surpassed US$200 on June 16 before falling back to near its IPO price.

Historical data shows that large IPOs often decline in their first year — Meta Platforms dropped after its debut before recovering. Analysts note that if SPCX follows the pattern, equity bulls may step in at lower levels.

FP Markets Chief Marketing Officer John Lewis commented: “With the ongoing momentum in the AI trade and global stock indices near all-time highs, demand for high-growth technology companies is unprecedented. Adding SPCX to the CFD offering underscores our commitment to offering investors flexibility and the opportunity to trade a widely watched stock on our broad selection of world-class trading platforms.”

The broker, founded in Sydney in 2005 and regulated by multiple authorities including ASIC, CySEC, and the FSA, now offers over 10,000 CFD instruments across seven asset classes.
