E8 Markets Launches One-Step Zero Account

Dallas-based prop firm E8 Markets unveiled E8 Zero, a one-step challenge that removes the consistency rule and trailing drawdown, while keeping static loss limits and capped payouts.

E8 Markets, the Dallas-based prop trading firm, has launched E8 Zero, a one-step funded-trader challenge that eliminates the consistency rule and the trailing drawdown. The company detailed the terms in a help-center article this week and promoted the launch on its X account on July 6 with a promise of a step-by-step walkthrough on passing the challenge.

The changes directly address trader complaints. A PipFarm poll reported by FinanceMagnates found that 54% of traders named trailing drawdown and 53% named consistency rules as the features they least wanted. Under E8 Zero, the challenge phase requires a 6% profit target on closed trades, with no minimum trading days and no time limit, though accounts must have at least one trade every 60 days to stay active. Instead of a trailing drawdown, E8 applies a 3% static loss limit tied to the starting balance, which does not move until after the first payout is processed.

Traders who pass move to what E8 calls a performance account, where they keep 100% of their trading result and can request payouts every day from a $100 minimum, with no daily profit cap and no minimum profitable days. News trading is allowed without restriction, and copy trading is permitted across accounts owned by the user. E8 Markets now describes itself as a "SaaS educational simulation platform" rather than a broker, running the product on simulated capital with traders paying to attempt challenges and earning payouts for demo-account performance.

E8 is not alone in loosening its rules. FXIFY said in May it would add a two-phase program with a static drawdown and no consistency rule, while FundedHive CEO Thomas Heinfart called the consistency rule "a payout trap" that usually does not work as risk management. Take Profit Trader already runs a one-step futures route with no consistency rule and no daily loss limit, and Hola Prime offers one-step programs built on static drawdowns. MyFundedFX reversed a consistency rule within two weeks of adding it after client complaints.

The "zero pointless restrictions" label still leaves limits in place. Each E8 Zero account allows a maximum of five payouts, after which it is deactivated and the trader must restart with a fresh challenge of the same size. Single payout caps range from $3,000 on a $50,000 account to $7,000 on a $500,000 account, and remaining buffer balances cannot be withdrawn. Leverage is conservative for a product pitched on freedom: forex at 1:30, indices and metals at 1:15, and crypto at 1:1, similar to limits facing regulated European retail brokers.

E8 declares more than $50 million in cumulative payouts across its products, while Prop Firm Match tracked roughly $19 million paid by E8 in 2025. Sector-wide data reported by FinanceMagnates shows only about 7% of challenge buyers ever reach a payout. The launch also reverses E8's own Signature product from September 2025, which had included consistency safeguards such as a cap on how much of a payout could come from a trader's best day. FM Intelligence put tracked crypto payouts across the ten largest prop firms at $115.1 million in the first quarter, double a year earlier but nearly flat quarter over quarter, leaving firms competing on rules and payout terms rather than growth.
