Deutsche Bank: Iran-Oman Talks Keep Brent Risk Premium in Focus

Negotiations over a Strait of Hormuz shipping framework remain finely balanced, with Iran linking any lasting arrangement to broader demands, according to Deutsche Bank strategists.

Deutsche Bank strategists note that talks between Iran and Oman over a new shipping framework through the Strait of Hormuz are at a delicate stage. Tehran is said to be conditioning a durable deal on wider demands, keeping the geopolitical risk premium in the Brent crude oil market elevated.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments, and any disruption or uncertainty tends to directly impact crude prices. The outcome of these negotiations remains uncertain.
