Cypherpunk has launched a Zcash mining park with capacity of approximately 4.2 GSol/s. The company describes it as the largest infrastructure of its kind on the Zcash network and estimates its share at about 18% of total hashrate.
The equipment cost was $33.33 million, according to the company. Newly mined ZEC is intended to be directed into Cypherpunk's reserve rather than sold immediately.
Cypherpunk currently controls roughly 1.92% of Zcash's supply and aims to increase that position to 5%. The move signals a longer-term accumulation strategy by the company.
