Crypto PACs Spend Another $1.5M on US Races After Michigan Setback
Fairshake-linked groups disclosed an additional $1.5 million to support candidates in Florida, Alaska, and Wyoming, following a failed $2 million push in Michigan.
Crypto-funded political action committees are continuing to direct money into US congressional races. Affiliates of Fairshake, a major crypto PAC, revealed $1.5 million in new spending to back candidates in Florida, Alaska, and Wyoming.
The outlay comes after a setback in Michigan, where Protect Progress, another crypto-aligned group, spent over $2 million in support of Representative Shri Thanedar. Thanedar lost his primary election.
The spending underscores the industry's drive to influence election outcomes, even as some bets fail to deliver. Fairshake and its network have emerged as some of the largest outside spenders in the current election cycle.
