CoinSwitch Launches DigiVault Crypto Custody for India's HNIs and Enterprises

CoinSwitch has launched DigiVault, a secure crypto custody platform for HNIs, family offices, and enterprises in India, built with Fireblocks technology and compliant with local regulations.

CoinSwitch, India's largest crypto investment and trading platform, announced on March 17, 2026, the launch of DigiVault, a digital asset custody solution tailored for high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, institutions, and Web3 enterprises. The platform aims to address the lack of robust, locally-aligned custody infrastructure as India's crypto ecosystem matures beyond retail participation into tokenization of real-world assets.

DigiVault combines global-grade security with Indian regulatory requirements, featuring enterprise-grade governance and tokenization-ready infrastructure. The solution is built on technology from Fireblocks, an enterprise digital asset custody platform that has secured over $10 trillion in transactions across more than 150 blockchains using Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology to eliminate single points of failure.

For individual investors and HNIs, DigiVault offers long-term secure storage with controlled withdrawal mechanisms. Institutional clients—including corporates, funds, and family offices—gain access to treasury management, policy-based controls, multi-level approvals, and audit-ready operations. Web3 builders can use custodial wallet infrastructure and APIs for product development, supported by round-the-clock local customer support.

The platform also enables partners to tokenize assets and manage their entire lifecycle on a single integrated platform, simplifying operations while ensuring compliance and scalability. DigiVault follows a compliance-first approach adhering to FIU-IND guidelines and India's PMLA requirements, with KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, and audit-ready reporting frameworks.

CoinSwitch co-founder Ashish Singhal stated that the custody infrastructure was initially built for internal needs but opened externally due to demand from HNI and institutional clients. He noted increasing participation from family businesses and enterprises as regulatory clarity improves and tokenization emerges as a powerful use case. DigiVault is part of the PeepalCo ecosystem, which also includes SEBI-regulated investing platform Lemonn.

Founded in 2017, CoinSwitch has over 25 million users and offers 400+ coins. The company is backed by investors including a16z, Coinbase Ventures, Tiger Global, and Sequoia Capital India, with $300 million raised. It is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND).
