CME Group 1-Ounce Gold (1OZ) Futures is Now Available for Live Trading!

CME Group's new 1-Ounce Gold (1OZ) futures contract is now available for live trading, offering the smallest gold contract size yet at one-tenth of a Micro Gold futures contract.

CME Group has launched its 1-Ounce Gold (1OZ) futures contract for live trading, introducing the smallest gold contract size available on the exchange. The contract represents just one-tenth the size of a Micro Gold (MGC) futures contract and one-hundredth of a standard Gold (GC) futures contract. With a tick size of $0.25, it allows traders to gain exposure to gold with lower capital requirements.

The new contract is now accessible through multiple data feeds including CQG, Rithmic, TT and Sierra Chart (Teton). Broker AMP Futures has added the product to its Exact Cost Calculator and confirmed that traders need COMEX/CME market data enabled to trade the symbol. The CQG symbol is M1OZ, while CME's symbol for other data feeds is 1OZ.

The launch of the 1OZ futures contract expands CME Group's gold product suite, providing a more granular instrument for retail traders and smaller institutions looking to hedge or speculate on gold prices. The contract is physically delivered and follows the same pricing rules as the larger gold futures.
