Circle Names BlackRock, Visa Among Arc Blockchain Validators, Sets Sept. 16 Mainnet Launch
Circle revealed external validators for its new Arc L1 blockchain, including BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard, with mainnet going live on September 16. The announcement coincided with Q2 results showing revenue below consensus but earnings beats.
Circle announced the validator set for Arc, its Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoin payments and on-chain financial market infrastructure. The list includes BlackRock, DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, Mastercard, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo, and Visa, with Circle itself also supporting the network.
The public mainnet launch is scheduled for September 16.
The validator news was released alongside Circle’s second-quarter financial report. Revenue reached $701 million, a 7% increase year over year, coming in slightly below consensus estimates. Adjusted earnings per share and net profit, however, surpassed expectations.
