Chinese Investors Pour $1.2 Billion Into Gold ETFs Amid Stock Market Turmoil
Gold-backed ETFs in China have attracted $1.2 billion over 14 consecutive days of inflows, the longest streak since March, as stock market volatility drives institutional demand for the metal.
China's gold-backed ETFs recorded 14 straight daily inflows through Monday, marking the longest buying streak since March. The funds drew a combined $1.2 billion during this period.
The largest single-day inflow reached $370 million. Before the rebound, these ETFs had experienced outflows in 38 of the previous 44 trading sessions.
Elevated volatility in China's equity market has renewed interest in alternative assets, with institutional investors leading the rotation. The trend reflects growing bullish sentiment toward gold among Chinese investors.
