BP awarded Venezuela licence for Loran field Phase 2
BP said it has received an exploration and production licence from Venezuela's government for Phase 2 of the Loran field and will operate the development.

BP has been awarded an exploration and production licence by the government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The licence is for Phase 2 of the Loran field in the Plataforma Deltana area. Under the award, BP will operate the development.
The announcement gives BP a new Venezuelan upstream role and positions it as operator for the next phase of work at the Loran field.
