Bitstamp by Robinhood has risen to the #2 position in Kaiko’s Q1 2026 Exchange Ranking, up from its previous standing, according to a statement from the company. The exchange achieved an overall Kaiko Exchange Score™ of 81.10 out of 100, marking its fifth consecutive AA rating from the independent data provider.
Kaiko’s quarterly ranking evaluates centralized spot crypto exchanges on data quality, market depth, operational reliability and regulatory compliance. Bitstamp posted standout sub-scores in three key categories: 94.07 in Security, 92.31 in Technology, and 89.47 in Business. These figures place the platform among the top performers for infrastructure reliability, asset protection and institutional readiness.
The Security score reflects certifications, cold storage practices, two-factor authentication protocols, incident history and security leadership. The Technology score measures infrastructure reliability and the ability to provide accurate, consistent market data through established distribution standards. The Business score weighs operational history, leadership structure, company transparency and product breadth.
Since Robinhood acquired Bitstamp last year, the exchange has focused on strengthening controls, investing in infrastructure and sharpening governance, the company said. The improved rank reflects continued work in those areas.
The quarterly ranking uses a data-driven, independent methodology designed for institutional-grade evaluation of exchange quality. Kaiko updates its scores every quarter, providing transparency for institutions comparing platforms.
Bitstamp’s climb to #2 among 44 exchanges underscores its focus on operational maturity and long-term resilience, the company noted.
