Bitso Launches xStocks Tokenized Stocks in Argentina

Bitso Argentina now offers 51 tokenized stocks called xStocks, enabling users to gain price exposure to companies like Apple, Tesla and NVIDIA using USDC or USDT, with 24/7 trading and a minimum investment of $5 USD.
Bitso, one of Latin America’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has introduced xStocks for its Argentine users — a suite of tokenized assets that track the price of major global equities. The offering includes 51 xStocks, ranging from tech giants like Apple (AAPLx), NVIDIA (NVDAx) and Tesla (TSLAx) to ETFs such as SPYx and QQQx, as well as assets tracking companies like SpaceX, Circle and Robinhood.
xStocks are digital tokens issued by Kraken and integrated into Bitso’s existing platform. Each token is designed to replicate the price of the underlying stock on a 1:1 basis and is backed by actual shares held in custody by the issuer. Reserves are audited and verifiable on-chain. Users can buy and sell xStocks with USDC or USDT, with a minimum investment of $5 USD. Transactions are instant, and no separate brokerage account is required — the purchase experience is identical to trading any other cryptocurrency on Bitso.
Key features and differences
Unlike traditional stocks, xStocks do not confer voting rights or direct shareholder ownership. Dividends are automatically reinvested into the token, increasing the holder’s balance rather than paying cash. Trading hours vary: 28 xStocks are available 24/7, while the remaining 23 trade 24/5 — still more flexible than the standard Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4 pm New York session. A full list includes companies such as Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Netflix, Palantir, Broadcom, AMD, Eli Lilly, TSMC, Visa, Oracle, Novo Nordisk, Coca-Cola, and many more.
The product is currently exclusive to Bitso Argentina. Users can find xStocks by searching the “Markets” section of the app, selecting the xStocks category, and choosing the desired token. Settlement is in USDC or USDT when selling. Bitso positions the offering as a way to gain price exposure to global companies without navigating traditional brokerage constraints, currency controls, or approval wait times.
