BitMart Founder Denies Fleeing as Users Report Withdrawal Delays

BitMart’s founder broke a two-week silence to deny that the exchange had misappropriated client funds, as users continue to complain of withdrawal delays, including one case of $280,000 blocked.

The founder of cryptocurrency exchange BitMart ended a two-week public silence to reject allegations that the platform had fled with customer assets. In a statement, they claimed the exchange had not misappropriated client funds.

Despite the reassurance, users continue to report delays in processing withdrawals. One trader stated that approximately $280,000 remains blocked, while Hungarian firm Gen6 reported roughly $80,000 stuck.

Separately, on August 8, BitMart sharply increased the rate at which it processed Ethereum transactions, reaching around 300 ETH transfers per hour. The spike may indicate an effort to clear a backlog.
