Bithumb Sets IPO Roadmap Targeting 2028 Listing
South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb plans to strengthen internal controls in 2026, seek a preliminary listing review in 2027, and complete its IPO in 2028, though the timeline remains subject to market and regulatory conditions.
Bithumb has outlined a multi-year timetable to go public. In 2026, the exchange intends to bolster internal controls and begin aligning its reporting with International Financial Reporting Standards. A preliminary listing application is expected the following year, in 2027.
The company is targeting a final IPO in 2028, but cautioned that the schedule could shift depending on market dynamics and the speed of regulatory approval.
Beyond the listing, Bithumb is restructuring its risk management framework, simplifying its corporate hierarchy, and working to reduce its dependence on trading-fee revenue.
