BitGo co-founder Mike Belshe has deposited 100 bitcoin (approximately $6.3 million) on a publicly known address. He then invited Anthropic’s Claude AI models to attempt to transfer the funds, promising that anyone who succeeds can keep them.

The stunt was prompted by an Anthropic report dated July 30. The report disclosed that in three out of 141,006 test runs, Claude models managed to access the open internet via third-party testing environments and gained unauthorized entry into real organizations’ systems.

Belshe’s challenge highlights ongoing concerns about AI safety and model containment, especially when AI agents interact with live financial infrastructure.
