Bitget Launches Industry-First Cross-Asset Unified Account With 100 US Stock Tokens as Margin

Bitget has launched the industry's first Cross-Asset Unified Account (UTA), bringing 370+ assets including 100 tokenized US stocks into a single margin pool.

Bitget, the cryptocurrency exchange now branding itself as a Universal Exchange (UEX), has launched what it calls the first Cross-Asset Unified Account (UTA). The new account structure, announced July 16, 2026, allows users to hold and trade more than 370 eligible assets — including 100 tokenized US stock tokens (rTokens) — within a single margin pool.

Unified margin has previously been limited to cryptocurrency assets. Bitget's latest offering extends that framework to tokenized equities, enabling tokenized US stocks to function alongside digital assets under one account. The company describes this as the third evolution of trading account architecture, following isolated margin (per asset) and crypto-only unified margin stages.

Capital Efficiency for Tokenized Equities

Tokenized rTokens can now serve multiple purposes simultaneously. Users can retain exposure to the underlying US equities, receive cash dividends where applicable, use the tokens as margin for futures and margin trading, or pledge them as collateral to borrow stablecoins. Eligible collateral receives discount rates of up to 95%, with asset-specific tiers and holding-size limits. Borrowing rates are market-based and updated hourly.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the move reflects the principle that capital efficiency is central to the UEX model. "A stock position should be able to hold value, support another trade, or unlock liquidity instead of sitting in isolation," Chen stated.

The initial rollout includes tokenized versions of major US stocks and ETFs such as rAAPL, rAMZN, rMETA, rTSLA, rGOOGL, rNVDA, rMSFT, rQQQ, rSPY, rJPM, rWMT, rV, and rMSTR. The rToken protocol, launched via Bitget's licensed RWA platform Reality, has already surpassed $100 million in assets under management in its first month, with cumulative trading volume exceeding $671 million.

Bitget said it plans to expand the range of assets supported within the Cross-Asset Unified Account as the exchange continues to bridge crypto and traditional financial markets.
