Analysts have highlighted an increase in bitcoin supply alongside subdued demand, according to a daily news digest. The observation points to a softer near-term demand backdrop for the asset.

On the regulatory front, the US Treasury proposed stablecoin rules under the GENIUS Act, and Austria's regulator issued its first fine under MiCA. Separately, a Mac vulnerability reportedly allowed hidden Monero miners to be installed.

Other headlines included Reuters reporting that the US will ask partners to choose a side in the AI race, and Anthropic acknowledging a biosafety failure across 133 million AI interactions.
