Bitcoin Network Splits Over BIP-110, Price Stays Flat
A Bitcoin chain split triggered by BIP-110 has produced only two blocks in eight hours on the minority fork, while the bitcoin price showed little reaction.

The Bitcoin network experienced a split after supporters of the BIP-110 soft fork branched off at block height 961,632. The new chain mined just two blocks over the following eight hours and by the morning of August 9 lagged the main network by 48 blocks.
The fork did not significantly impact bitcoin's market price, which remained largely unchanged. The community debate around the proposal continues.
