Bitcoin Falls 2.5% to $62,500; Crypto Ignores Asian Stock Surge
Bitcoin fell 2.5% to around $62,500 over the past day, ignoring a sharp rebound in South Korean and Asian equities. Spot ETFs saw net inflows of $203.84 million for Bitcoin and $13.3 million for Ethereum.
Bitcoin lost 2.5% over the past 24 hours, sliding to approximately $62,500. The decline came even as Asian equities staged a sharp recovery following a heavy sell-off.
On July 31, South Korea's Kospi index surged 17% after a two-day slump that had pushed it more than 40% below its June high. SK Hynix jumped 22%, Samsung added 5%, and Taiwan Semiconductor gained 7%.
Digital assets largely ignored the regional stock rally. Over the past week, HYPE dropped 6%, while Solana and XRP each fell around 2%. Ethereum barely moved.
Spot ETFs provided some support: Bitcoin products saw net inflows of $203.84 million on Thursday, with Ethereum funds adding $13.3 million.
