Bitcoin $1M by 2030 Is Mathematically Impossible, 10x Research Founder Says
10x Research founder Markus Thielen said bitcoin reaching $1 million by 2030 is mathematically impossible, requiring $15 trillion in inflows and an extreme credit event.
10x Research founder Markus Thielen pushed back against highly bullish bitcoin forecasts, arguing that a move to $1 million by 2030 is mathematically impossible. He estimated that the largest cryptocurrency would need to attract $15 trillion over four years, equal to roughly 25% of the US stock market's value.
Thielen said he would not rule out the level entirely, but that such a scenario would require a major credit event or broad market collapse rather than normal demand growth.
The comments cast doubt on some long-term projections for bitcoin even as adoption and institutional interest remain central themes in the crypto market.
